Ceremony of signing of the National Agreement for the products SCOPUS and ScienceDirect international databases jointly with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Dutch company Elsevier on March 23, 2018 at Hyatt Regency Tashkent ceremony was held.
Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan I.Madjidov, Vice President of “Elsevier” International Company Felix Hayest and Regional Director for Central Asia and Azerbaijan Aliya Ospanova, Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan , Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, World Bank officials, rectors of higher education institutions in Tashkent and representatives of mass media. In pursuance of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from March 22, 2017 “On Measures for Implementing the Project for Strengthening the Material and Technical Capacities of Higher Educational Institutions with International Development Association” The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the Netherlands “Elsevier” has developed the National Science Development Program “Science 2020”. The main goal of the National Science Development Program 2020 is to increase the scientific potential of the country, increase the effectiveness of research activities of professors and teachers of higher education institutions, the world educational resources, electronic catalogs of modern scientific literature, Elsevier is part of the National Development Program “Science 2020” raising the role of research centers and universities in Uzbekistan, as well as scholars at the world scientific rating, and publishing national scientific journals “SCOPUS” and “ScienceDirect” international scientific database, to assist young scientists and doctors in publishing scientific articles and publish them in scientific publications with high impact factor.
